Is it just me or Anime has always been ahead of west or any other media?

Nope. Most anime are bad and have embarassing dialogue and voice acting(even the good ones sometimes). Films all over the world trump it, including ones from Japan.

lol let's talk about only subbed versions here
and i know most of the people don't like dubbed series in general and only a few exceptions are there.

If you primarily only know how Japanese is spoken through anime, along with general lack of knowledge on the language, you don’t catch on that it’s very stylized and very camp, or to be more blunt, cheesy.

It’s kind of like the equivalent of someone whose only experience with English speaking TV shows is through soap operas, and they don’t realize that nobody actually talks like that.

i didn't realize that
is it for all anime or for anime of some particular genre? because in shojo they tend to take it overboard. sayng neeeeeee

I wouldn’t say all.

That’s also why parts of the anime community have a vehement hatred of English dubs, and why anime acting is always perfect, because they know the language. Especially when they think cartoon acting, and some even say English singing is garbage compared to Japanese. Also you’ll see it when they compare dubs in other languages and they only hate the English dub, but the Spanish, German, or whatever is so superior in every conceivable way. You can start seeing that it’s definitely a language bias.
