Is anime torrenting illegal?

Not to bring down the topic, but it is illegal or better put, legal till caught. Thankfully nyaa isn't really a big blip on most ISP radars, though I highly recommend using a VPN when you torrent.

are you aware people buying one license and then sharing it with others?
that's not legal and usually they share via torrents which is not legal.
