Viz confirmed on Friday that Rumiko Takahashi's Inuyasha franchise is inspiring a new anime spinoff titled Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon (Hany? no Yashahime). The official Japanese website for the fall television anime opened on the same day.

Viz describes "the brand new anime from the Inuyasha universe":

The daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey transcending time!

In Feudal Japan, Half-Demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi's brother, Sota, and his family.

Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa's shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister.

Joined by Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to regain their missing past.

I won't watch it, because I usually hate spinoffs and sequels. It's bad quality and not as good as the 1st season generally too.

I believe all if not most of the general staff is returning for this, so I'm willing to give it a shot.

I think it will be both good and faithful to the main series.

I got really tired of Inuyasha when it was on Adult Swim, but it’s cool for the fans of the series.

you don't like it?
that's a big news to me and i never knew. it's a standard classic anime

I got tired of how repetitive it was. Omg look it’s Naraku, oh no he ran away, let’s go find Naraku, oh no he ran away again.

I recently saw some random episodes and got annoyed at how Inuyasha and Kagome shouted each other’s names for almost half an episode.

lol
that's hilarious. you are right about that but isn't it the same for all the shonen anime. let's take naruto. no matter what happens, most often oro is responsible for it

It seems like the other shows were less transparent about it.

Tbh Inuyasha’s been getting a lot more flack as the years went on.

to be honest i haven't even seen inuyasha even bring discussed now, except here
you are right we are always discussing about old anime here

I’ve seen it on other places, and discussion seems to follow that A: it didn’t age well, and B: it just dragged on.

i have to agree with both of them
but at that time, it's popular enough and it gave what the users needed

Should be noted there was some filler in the series I believe that had annoying elements to it. The final act did a wonderful job for the series and I hope this spin off follows the final act's lead.

Looks not bad honestly.Similar to boruto. I thought I would watch it but with everything happening now it's pretty unlikely.
