Increasing activity via awards and forum games.

So we wanna increase the activity on this forum and possibly get new users interested in enough to make accounts and participate when they actually visit so one of the ideas we had was to play games against other users. These won't be the typical forum games like "compliment the user above you" or some crap like that.
I'd like to use third party games which we can play with or against each other. And based on the game the people who perform the best will receive awards on their profile and more.

Now the question is what games to use? We're looking at games that don't give anybody an advantage, ideally don't cost money, can be played on any device like PC or phone, and don't have a skill or knowledge barrier to entry, and it should be fun.

I have one game in mind called Geoguesser which I think is perfect but if you have some stuff to recommend I'm listening.

Stuff I usually see on Reddit is BS threads like "badly describe an anime" or "title gore". Can't think of any actual games.
 
What about a group session in an free anime mmorpg? usually Anime MMO don't require a decent computer, most of the games can be run on a Windows XP/7 PC, and organize a guild or something like that, and i know, it can be very complicated to reunite everyone at a specific time, but doing like a once in a month or twice in a month sessions could be interesting right? And keep all about the game here in the forum, like play sessions times, meetings, trades and stuff like that.

Usually it's very difficult to make everyone be here, at the same time.
Not to mention that, we don't know how many people would be interested in MMORPG. Still, it's a very interesting option.

how about making some videos to group watch selected anime?
other people might get interested in these trailers and decided to watch then particular in the discussions?
 
ah yeah this is a cool old idea. with games around like Among us as the moment it's a cool old idea to play together
