In-depth movies

There are many movie series that I enjoyed quite a lot.

1. Lord of the rings
2. Harry Potter

I don't remember other series at the moment. So, anyway what are the movie series that you enjoyed immensely and have in-depth story?
 
Hobbit movies, underworld movies, star wars.. There are many good movie series. You should try them sometime.
 
That's a misleading title. For me it's Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Mission Impossible series, and the biggest one there is, the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Well, I am not so sure how else to make the title. Why do you think it is misleading Madarauciha?
I haven't watched many movies in that list. I will be checking them out sometime.
 
The only ones I've seen is Star wars, Dark kinght and Harry potter. One of these days I'll check out lord of the rings.

Well my examples are related to only long movie series... But it's not limited to that :D
