If you met someone who likes anime

i have a habit of going on the bus to work with my headphones on, Japanese Metal blasting hehe and reading Manga on the way to work, i usually stand, i never sit on the bus, i let the lazy people and elderly sit, i still have mah legs lol
i usually never meet people that read manga or watch anime out side anime and manga events, i have friends that like anime, but not avid readers or watch anime mainly... they prefer American TV shows or movies, which i kinda am tired of...
I digress... today, i was on the bus, same routine, when a guys stood next to me, in the corner of my eye, i could make out that he's watching an episode of One piece on his phone, i rarely approach people i don't know, but i do feel lonely not talking to people outside of the internet about my true love and passion here, i guess he saw i was reading a manga (Noragami btw) and as i was getting off the bus, i signaled him the peace sign, just to... acknowledge that i understand he likes the same things i do, but if you were me... would you try and strike up a conversation?

I would strike up a conversation for sure senpai.
One piece is my favorite show and I would like to talk about it with real people but it hurts that only I can meet only people like me online. It's sad. Did he wave back senpai?

Yeah, I mean, I don't go out of my way to say that I watch anime.... Say I know x and y, and they are talking about anime in front of me, I may get curious and barge in, but I won't stay in for long....

i guess, the people you encounter don't really understand the things you like. it's okay...
i am very proud of it, and when people talk to me and try and bring up American TV shows, i just turn that house fire with a tsunami of Anime, i can't stand American TV shows, i used to watch some, but nowadays... i just don't relate to it anymore....

Not that everyone don't, I know a few who are..... Plus, I do watch American shows, and most of my friends do, so, when we do talk about something, it's mostly about regional and Hollywood movies, and British and American TV shows.... The only anime non-otaku people have watched are DBZ, Pokemon, and other anime like Samurai X(rurouni kenshin, to be precise)....

Sherlock is stagnating.
With the same old things and same old stories and pretty much the same plot, I kinda lost interest. Game of thrones, never interested me. So, I don't know any great shows to relate too. As you said, it must be a matter of opinion.
Do you prefer a great show or a great anime, personally madara?

Are you referring to the BBC Sherlock series? Did you watch it or are you judging it without watching? And, again, did you watch Game of Thrones?
I like to watch whichever one is better..... Between Sherlock and Death Note, I prefer Death Note, and between Game of Thrones and Full Metal Alchemist, I can't choose, and between, Cowboy Bebop and Firefly, I prefer Firefly.....
