If one piece gets a hiatus like Hunter x Hunter....

I wouldn't be able to keep up with it.
Hunter x Hunter..... Is unique and I can tolerate hiatus for such a good anime but if it's one piece, I would have dropped it.... Probably.
Is it the same for you guys?

Oda is famous for his insane work ethic so unless he literally gets his back broken ththr manga won't enter a hiatus.
If at all it does I'll probably drop the anime, catch up to the manga and wait for it to come back. Can't just drop the whole thing just like that after watching so much.

Same, no matter how much the haters hate, I always see them keep up with it because too much time has been invested. Though I do feel Oda should move to a monthly release of One Piece so he doesn't get over worked.

But it will be over soon.
Oda himself said, that the plot already covered 60% of the actual plot. If this goes to hiatus, then it will be another bleach all over again

There were a few times when we couldn't get an episode, I take it that it's not because of Oda then.
That's a very rare and good quality in mangaka :D

We've been getting episodes pretty regularly haven't we?

Honestly monthly is ideal. My current problem with One Piece post time-skip is that Oda stretches each arc a bit too long. I mean Dressrosa and Whole Cake are already the two biggest arcs in the entire series. FMA wouldn't have been half as good if it was weekly.

No he did take breaks yes, for like 3 weeks maybe sometimes but he actually has a lot of health problems. A lot of mangaka who've been doing this for decades suffer from this. Kishi point-blank stated he's physically incapable of drawing manga anymore, that's why another artist is gonna draw his up-coming series. But I think he has to be credited for doing for 20+ years without taking hiatuses.

I see.
I didn't know that. I am only aware of Hunter x Hunter being extremely ill constantly. I wish Oda would complete this series soon

60% means another decade of one piece I have no idea if one person taking on such a commitment is good. It's so risky if anything happened to him.

Define soon. Because I foresee this manga still going 3 years from now.

It's his baby man and he can't give it to someone else without completing it himself.
I wonder have done the same if I were him

His well being is probably more important than the series?.. So even if he wasn't doing it all alone and something happened to him, it would still be bad?.. :P
