If anime is just an elaborate ad, why do they make bad sequels?

why do you think is the case?
do you think it's related to something else ? or do you think it's for just crappy reputation for a series? what's your take on it?

Anime are not always just ads. Plenty make enough money on their own to keep making them.

with manga related thing lol
and if someone likes an anime, they can always pick the light novel or manga.

I don't think they ever made a bad sequel on purpose, some times creators can't tell what the public will love or not.

What are we considering a bad sequel, a second series, or like a season 2 or later?

If it’s the former, it’s because they usually have someone else write them, and they lack the “magic” of the original.

If it’s the latter, sometimes you have to admit that the manga wasn’t that great to begin with, or they ran out of ideas in the earlier chapters, and season 2 or whatever is just more of the same thing over and over.

usually the season season is good and not the other seasons and probably the reason is out of ideas i suppose lol

A lot of the anime only watchers never blame the source material, it’s always the studio’s fault, that and the anime community in general goes too much off of here say compared to other entertainment hobbies.

There’s been quite a few times I saw people complain about season 2, and “heard” the manga was better, but I read the manga, and it was directly lifted. So it wasn’t good to begin with.

oh i see
that makes a lot of sense now and i am sure manga and manhwa are usually not judged so easily.

Some of it is probably because there’s some examples where it was definitely the studio’s fault, but the fans are just lazy and use it as a blanket statement for ALL of them.

Yeah, a lot of communities aren’t very smart on certain things, especially when it comes to the big corporations. Some people think I’m being a shill when I don’t immediately jump on hating the big corporation and defend the little guy.

I just believe in giving criticism to the proper people.

lol that's true
and some of them can be obsessed with some manga and they try to blame the animators if others tend to not like the anime.
not all the people prefer manga and they only watch when it gets an anime adaptation.
