If you let me talk to you bluntly, it sounds to me like your mother will still be within reach. That's something I feel envious about. I lived with my parents all the way. I moved to the opposing side of the world in order to take life to the direction I wanted. I was optimistic that in a few years I could visit. Now it's been over six years now and I haven't been able to do even one trip back. I do miss my family, my language, my friends and my culture.
Now, I am bringing this up for perspective. This is not to invalidate your feelings. You have all the right. It is scary. You are doing something new. You will be moving for a job, but you must trust in your capabilities and your bond. Bring your best game and adapt to the new situation. It will make you stronger.![]()
