How to keep kids out of trouble?

Kids don't really like travelling.


It's difficult to make the sit quietly during the journey. We can't blame them for being kids
My cousin is a 6-year old girl. She can't really take a 3 hour drive. Also, she hates journey by bus. As for me, I prefer taking the car, as it sure beats the bus journey.

So now, how am I supposed to keep this little kid out of trouble, during the journey? Any suggestions guys?

Silly little things like having music playing, having an in-car dvd on the go, something to read or something to colour. When we do long journeys we used some of those methods.
