How long do you think before we get anime in 4k quality?

Aren't most videos available in 4k already? I don't know much about this particular viewing option but it sounds like it would be quite the experience

i will say 2 years. everything is progressing quickly and we will get that quality sooner than we think.
it would be great to see aot in 4k quality.

Define "most videos".

I have never heard of it till now. It's a bit surprising. I suppose even the size would increase. If that is the case, I wouldn't prefer watching videos in that quality

Oh Thanks for the lesson. I get it now. So I guess even on youtube yu should be able to get 4k resolution then right?

I agree with 5 years too man. It would be nice if we can see that quality sooner than that.
1080p is not bad but this is too good

I think 4k is a pretty big step up from what is currently the standard but I guess we could see it more in the future.

Anime Films, good looking ones at least can be re-mastered to 4k if it's given to a good digital company. TV anime have to have insane quality to hold up well if scaled up, probably something from Bones or KyoAni.
I'd give it 5 years for anime movies to be in 4k native, but I'm still not sure since Japan's business practices with respect to anime are pretty asinine. After all they ask people to buy 4-5 Blu-Ray discs for 13 episode anime, which is idiotic as hell. And that comes to around 100$(This is only in Japan).
Also since a lot of anime these days are in CG and they look really ugly(except a few, like Land of the Lustrous), it'd look like turd in 4k.
