How do you differentiate Thriller from Horror in anime?

So, what do you guys think?
Do you differentiate them based on the supernatural element alone or do you have any other elements as well?
 
That makes sense.
If there is too much blood and gore, then it can be considered as horror anime too. I forgot about that.
 
Suspense is defined as any story where the outcome is unclear and or uncertain. Horror is defined as a story ment to induce fear. so some anime can be in both categories. Also being gory or having ghosts or spirits does not necessarily make them horror as slash and supernatural are their own categories and are not always ment to cause fear.

I see.
That makes sense and here I thought usually ghosts or monsters in anime makes it a horror anime.

and it wouldn't have crossed my mind at all. and for me horror is something filled with gore lol

lol then you don't care about the genres too much as long as the story is interesting for an anime.

Whatever you think could be the genre, then you can add it.
There is no set definition for anything and I am sure everyone agrees with that
