Mei abhi meeting me attend ho nai hai. So mei cheilunga.
Is that a correct sentence faizan?

Hindi, or Modern Standard Hindi is a standardised and Sanskritised register of the Hindustani language. Along with the English language, Hindi written in the Devanagari script is the official language of the Government of India

That is the information I got about this language. Do many people speak Hindi in this forum? Why is Hindi popular when your country has so many other languages?

Uh....most of the people here are Indians....so...almost everyone knows something about Hindi. Hindi is popular because many people speak Hindi in India.

The languages spoken in the Northern part of India are extremely close to Hindi, plus, there, it's mandatory to learn it.

I don't really have anyone to talk to in Hindi so I don't bother speaking it.

I'm just referring to it geographically. India didn't get divided. And, it's not a small country, it's the 7th largest country in the world.

Oh...that was my stupid phone auto correct...acting on it's own.
Well, the people around me use only Telugu...that's my native language. So, I never had any trouble. Now, I have moved to another state...and it's really difficult to communicate with the local people :(

So you live in Andhra Pradesh since telugu is spoken a lot in that state?
