why most of the anime are taken with high school students? all the genre mostly got this theme and it dominates many genres.

May be because the Japanese have some standard stories and preferences. I am not so sure. I have never thought of this before. I don't think anime like one piece, naruto, fairy tail comes under the high school setting

I know for awhile, there was a strong theme in animes of school kids ending up in different time periods and becoming some queen or goddess.

Most anime are targeted toward teenagers, and high schoolers have a middle ground.

Yes, that's because Seinen anime by definition isn't for teenagers and is for adults. That's what Seinen means. And, they aren't as common as shounen anime.
