Does it depends on the size of the application?
Like is I re-adjust things? Will it effect the quality?

course in my opinion anyway ex. if you wanted a lets say 1000*800 edit I'd recommend firstly making a 1200*1000 canvas to play with the size but have a border giving you the illusion that the canvas ends there so you can see weather or not it exceeds the size you want this is my own opinion though

We are creating imaginary boundaries without tampering the quality.
