Have You Tried Drawing Anime

I have an interest in drawing and illustration. I am not very good but I enjoy drawing and illustrating different kinds of characters and objects, including Anime. I am not skilled at drawing Anime but I enjoy copying illustrations of the popular characters. Have you ever tried drawing Anime? What's your experience like?
 
No I haven't.
I don't have the talent and I wouldn't want to draw just to get criticized by others.
