Have you ever found hidden gems?

I find more hidden gems in manga than in anime, but there are some anime series that not a lot of people talk about and i found that very sad, like Gugure! Kokkuri-san! That's a really good comedy/fantasy/slice of life series, also, this year Sarazanmai! was amazing! what a great series, it had some attention, but didn't really got a lot of it for how weird it was. Also, here in latin america unfortunately, people only talk about the "mainstream" series and not a lot of people like or even watch other series ToT

Edit: I just remember Prince of Stride is a good sports anime! It even got me to like running..................and i don't like running XD

in anime i think magi was very good. even arslan senki is good.
in manga i think i like love in the mask webtoon. it's a straight manhwa. i recommend it

Same in my place, most people talk about the mainstream ones

Well I follow anime that are on-going every season and a lot of them sort of become popular 9 or 10 weeks into their programming, Made in Abyss is one of them. It was a rather niche anime but it's extremely popular now, for obvious reasons. Same with Zombieland Saga and A Place Further Than The Universe to some extent.

There are others that I watched when it was on-going that didn't exactly garner a lot of popularity but I'm glad I watched them every week, like Run with the Wind and Hinamatsuri.

And then there were others that were either recommended to me or stuff I watched because there was a sequel season coming, like Seirei no Moribito, One Outs, Saiki Kusuo, Quanzhi Gaoshou and Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World.

Okay noted, i'll check them too. And haha.. Kino no Tabi, i've seen that series, the guy with motorcycle, it was good

All the good or "hidden gems" were stuff I found through recommendations, or they were already popular so I don't think I have many if any. God eater is maybe the closest I have. Zombieland saga might be another. I don't know if parasyte is hidden enough to count but that too.

I think.. Parasyte is quite popular, or at least known

Yeah a remake came out in 2017 and I was curious so I watched the 2003 and it was great. People said the 2017 version wasn't as good and I watched a few analysis videos as well, comparing the two, and I didn't end up watching it.

Oh wow.. there's remake version.. well it's kinda deserve a remake. Usually remake is for cosmetic purpose, the story is the same so it's not a loss. But in case of Hunter x Hunter, i heard that there is new additional on the 2011 version, about Kurapika's brother

Hunter x Hunter 2011 is objectively the superior version, no doubt about it. No idea about Kurapika's brother, are you maybe talking about Killua's brother? The 2011 version has the Chimera Ant arc and the Election arc adapted as well.

Not that Nanika boy, i heard that there's another Kuruta tribe survivor, Kurapika's sibling or something like that. Well in 2011 Chimera Ant and Election arcs are already finished, if they not add them then it's a crime haha..

Nope nothing like that. Kurapika is the sole survivor and he's the only one who appears throughout.
