They say that blood is thicker than water but sometimes your family members can be toxic. Have you ever had to cut a family member out of your life since they were toxic? I recently had to unfriend and block one of my cousins back in January because she was posting super transphobic things and even mentioned myself and another family member who is gender fluid in a post. It was disgusting the things she was saying about trans people, and to drag me into it was uncalled for. I angry reacted to the status and she had the audacity to say "Cousin I'm sorry if I offended you, blah blah blah" so I responded back to her telling her that she is not a true Christian because she's transphobic and I didn't get a chance to see her response because I blocked her afterwards. Moral of the story is, it's okay to cut out toxic family members. I also haven't talked nor seen my grandmother in 16 years, I highly doubt she'd be happy to see me since she's a die hard Catholic who is probably against trans people existing too.
