Have you been able to turn someone into an anime fan?

As for me, I don't think so.
Sure I give recommendations but that's to people here and not for newbies who aren't interested in anime.

I turned ScarletSabre from someone who only watched naruto into a real anime fan.

Nah I've never had much success with it, I did get my sister into some animes when I was younger but not enough to say I turned her into an anime fan.

i tried the same with my nephew and it was a disaster like truly.
