Alcohol isn't really a revered thing in most places..I mean maybe wine in christianity and stuff but in general no one really praises you for being an alcoholic lol

Perhaps you should realise that Alcohol isn't holy water. Anyway India is a pretty conservative country when it comes to certain things and you are viewed as "bad" if you get drunk. It's not just me though Clara has said it herself.

i missed her reply.
everyone can't wait to get a drink. even when i was young, i used to sneak in some alcohol. so this is hard for me to understand

Exactly it's a big world and we are from different cultures. I guess here students will probably get expelled if they are caught.

they can get suspended but not expelled. that's a huge difference i think

Expelled yes. I've known it happen to people I know and friends of people from different schools. Anyway check blackrose's reply as well about alcohol.

Nothing really but it is used during certain religious celebrations...have u never had it?

Nope never been used in whatever religious celebrations or ceremonies I've been part of. But yeah I know this actually just couldn't recognise the name probably from another language.

I think expulsion is a rule here as well.. vices like drinking and smoking are not permitted in schools here but I don't think those in authority take it serious enough

Not really, I just avoid alcohol and smoking I'm not exactly a saint. Also helps that I've seen the consequences of those things to people I know.
