What would happen if our modern day world suddenly connected to a world that still operated in the times of the Roman Empire? Which said empire decides to attack us? That's pretty much the biases of this anime and the idea works out pretty well. Overall the anime has very crisp animation and artwork with good OST and a ton of characters that you will fall in love with.

It does have its drawbacks, but I highly recommend checking out this one.
 
I recommended this one for the group-watch, and it seems like your standard light novel adaptation that's bound to be entertaining at least.

It has mixed reviews mostly with people viewing it as an ad for the JSDF, but honestly if you keep an open mind there is a lot to enjoy here.
 
that plot looks rather good. i like the old times mingling with new times. may be i should watch this first before picking up any other anime. i like it's genre quite a lot.
 
Yeah I finished this a few weeks back. Both the seasons. It's one big dumb entertaining show. What I like is it cuts to the chase rather quickly and doesn't beat around the bush. It's like the perfect 7/10 show you can watch when you are bored to hell and want something stupid with lots of action and fantasy. Also Japan military propaganda ftw.
 
i wonder if clo watched this anime.
he really likes history and these days he just disappeared and i miss talking to him.
