Genre : Shojo, fantasy. 

Plot : Tohru Honda, living in a tent, and after having been invited by the "Prince" of her school to live with them for some house chores, discovers that there's a curse upon his family, the Somas. 

Manga : way better than the Anime. The Manga is the original one and the plot was way better too, as well as the characterization. I liked reading it better than watching it. 

Anime : some scenes were poorly done. For example, when Tohru went over to Kyo in monster form, that had been so touching and moving in the manga, yet not in the Anime.

I've looked up the manga pictures, the style is pretty interesting. I haven't read anything drawn in this style yet.

Yeah, it is. Theres a light love triangle, slightly perceptible.

This anime is in my bucket list. People keep recommending it.

I think I recall Grungie saying that Fruitbasket as an example of an anime receiving the FMAB treatment, if so, I guess I should aim for that version.
