Our planet's resources will only last for so long.

Our sun will only last so long.

Who knows when a meteor will crash into the planet and wipe us out or if a man made bomb goes off horribly wrong.


Is it not better to ensure humanity's survival by reaching the stars or to help those who will flicker out without contributing much to humanity?

and let the present people die of hunger?
how does that make sense? we should provide to everyone and then reach for the stars.

Why do you want to take this money from space travel and no where else, there will always be people dying of hunger I don't see how taking money out of this one specific area will solve world hunger lol.
 
yes they should cut down everything.
they shouldn't let people die of hunger and without basic necessitives for survival

And some countries do that. But who's going to go and feed the whole world? What is the use of giving them free stuff when in a period of days to months they are going to be back in the same situation? What's your solution to that?

they can provide some occupation too
even a normal job with a basic salary is good enough

I was thinking the same thing, if all the money combined from the entire space industry were now dedicated to feeding all starving people it wouldn't last very long at all.

but at least people can live long.
and you know how much people put in this? every country?
 
they can do farming
and they can grow fruits and other things by themselves and these people can provide the money needed to do it

I don't think a month of free food would make them live longer.

Well sure it could assist people but what happens after that month everyone is just left on their own again.

they can probably come up with something
they could even raise fruit plants or some other farming and make a living too.
