Energy resources(characters) in anime

I am referring to characters who give power to the main protagonist, to defeat the antagonist.
Well, I don't like such plots. What about you guys? What do you think of these batteries?

It's a common tactic and a pawn like character. I would call them a mob character.
I don't like them but they make me dislike the protagonist if there are too many

I don't care too much about them. This description reminds me of CC from Code geass and she is not a bad character and not many appreciate her, but she is very important to the plot.
