Adventure, action, fantasy run thick on this series, sword, magic, princess, hero, demon all mixed up together in one. Yup, what are you expecting? It was based on video game series Dragon Quest from Enix, so the taste of RPG also give peculiar color on this manga, you name it, like.. ultimate spell, legendary sword, army of evil, cool armor.. everything are there!

About the story.. it's kinda stereotype of defeat the evil and save the world, but character development are awesome, the characters are keep developing as the story progress. Nothing fancy about the art, looks similar to Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball, yea it's not the strongest point but overall still a good manga to read.

There is also anime adaptation from this manga, Dragon Quest : the Adventure of Dai, it's pretty much the same, so if you prefer anime you can watch anime version.
 

This sounds interesting...are there any actual dragons? Because some movies have dragon in the title and then no actual dragons
 
Wait, there is a dragon quest anime? Huh, never knew that. I know the movie is coming out soon which should be good.

As for the series I've pretty much played them all, I'm currently finishing up 7 and about to play 11 soon.

Yes.. as usual from Enix, the story are good, and i like the gameplay too, simple but fun. And the music.. also good, like this one, you must be remember this :

It's nice hun but honestly I prefer songs with words mostly
I like instrumentals as well but rarely...will check out any you wana recommend though :)
