Does having 100% Originality in terms of a story/plot in Anime becoming harder nowadays?

There aren't many anime with unique story these days. What do you guys think?

That's been a thing for ages, it just has to be entertaining. Most people claiming their favorite anime is super original is probably based off of something else.

I would say it's subjective man. Recently I heard an argument that, every show is the same as it has a 'start' and an 'end' . People can be very weird what they consider 'original' :cheers:

That's dumb if their argument is "it has a start and an end".

I also wouldn't call it subjective. If it's blatantly obvious where they got their inspiration from, it gets pretty black and white. There's also the fact that just because you haven't heard of the original, doesn't detract that the series in question is borrowing heavily from an older series.

if only the author gives the credit to the actual inspiration all the time, it would be nice lol
