Do you watch anime even if it's boring?

Do you usually continue to watch an anime series even if you find the first couple of episodes boring or do you abandon it?
 
I usually give it 5 episodes before dropping something. Some anime is just slow to start so a few episodes helps me gauge a bit better what it will offer.
 
Well, I found One Piece to be boring till 60-70 episodes, and after that, it was good...... But, as far as short anime is concerned, I mostly drop it halfway.... For example, I dropped Guilty Crown(which has 25 ep's), at around 13th episode, and I'm thinking of dropping Shiki(25 ep's), right now, as I'm at the 12th ep, and it's slow and kind of boring.........

Yeah I do. I used to drop shows after two episodes, but I think one would be enough for me now.

Really? I'd have definitely dropped Steins Gate or Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, if I had that kind of a mindset.......

Maybe I am too confident, but I think I can tell when an anime has potential. The series doesn't need to be super engaging from the beginning, it just needs to give me some reason to go on =)

So, you think all anime should reveal the direction of its story within the first episode, eh?
 

That was a stupid question, then, because, I too read the synopsis of an anime before watching it....... And, are you talking about Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magika?

I see.... Well, I mostly go for the synopsis, MAL rank, and a few reviews, and if they've watched, the opinion of my friends, both online(here, and other websites), and offline.........
 
earlier i used to watch, if it's boring but now i drop them. even earlier, i don't watch for more than 2 episodes to give the anime a chance to get interesting
