Do you usually watch the remakes of an anime and then watch the original again?

lol but there are many changes for a remake.
to make it stand out more. i usually become nostalgic for the original anime after watching a remake

the latest anime and the animation keeps getting better and better with the latest technology for me but not the plot and development of the story

It's always a risk for any new anime man. For the remakes and sequels, even if it's bad, the anime will get lots of views.

Views alone wouldn't be enough for the continuation of any anime, be it a sequel or a remake.
Sometimes people wouldn't even complete watching them if they fail to meet their expectations.

I'll watch both, I plan to do so with Fruits basket and Ranma 1/2.

I'll watch both as well (classic and remake). I enjoy anime for it's art, and I don't mind hearing the same story told from a different angle. After all, anything that has been created is simply the retelling of the same story from a slightly different perspective.

And while I don't necessarily care for the modern method of animating (using CGI and stuff), it's also inspiring at the same time to know that I may have a shot at making my own footprint in the sand using the same technology-- because, I know I can't draw worth a darn!
