Well, almost all the arcs of One Piece have these things in common:
The Straw-hats go to a new island.
They find out that there is a problem(either with the administration or their member or member-to-be) in the island.
They then find about the island's dark history.
Then, they fight the antagonists, and save the island or one of their crew members or a member-to-be.
Then, they celebrate and move on to the next island, sometimes with a new crew member.
For, example, the Alabasta arc and Dress-rosa arc are strikingly similar, except that Doflamingo has more character development, in comparison with Crocodile.
So, do you think the arcs of One Piece are repetitive?
