Do you think some anime would be popular, if they were to get released now?

So, what if one piece, naruto, bleach and other popular anime starts airing now, for the first time....do you think they would still be popular?
I don't think so.....right now....the standards are too high.
 
They would take time to build up popularity especially one piece but they can easily be as popular as they are now. Some shows like K-on and cowboy bebop definitely won't be because what made them unique isn't unique anymore.

Do you really think one piece could have competed with attack on Titan?
I know that it's got quality story but the animation is just... Well ..meh.
So I don't think they would have been that popular, if they were to get released now
 
They could still be popular man.
All of them are popular for a reason and you can't expect them to lose their popularity like this aired dates
 
I can't take Naruto, One Piece into consideration because they are worldwide phenomena and especially without Naruto we wouldn't have My Hero Academia, Haikyuu, Black Clover, etc. 
So I can only take popular anime that are sort of isolated and don't have any influences or impact as much as these. 
I think something like FLCL would still be popular today, but not something like Elfen Lied because of how unbelievably edgy it is.
 

Elfen lied would still be popular man and it's like yandere characters galore in it.
It's too popular for it's bizarreness

Nah last year we had shit like Mahou Shoujo Site, Satsuriku no Tenshi and Happy Sugar Life and none of them were popular.

Those are like pale comparisons man.
These are originals and they are the best. You can't compare them to those anime

I watched it quite a long time ago and it was pretty bad by any definition.

Even sword art online hinted on that man. If both of them are happy and it's not forced, I am not against it any man. I used to hate it but I don't mind anymore

I used to think like the about incest man but if the two of them likes it, them what can we say, it shouldn't bother us much.

Dude anime itself is a huge fetishistic medium so you are probably okay with it because you watched a lot of anime. Incest will always be weird to others.
