Do you prefer anime in narrative order or release order ?

I don't have any such preferences.

It all depends to how I got to know of that anime and the person who recommended it to me. What about you guys? What's your preference?
 
I would like to watch it in release order most of the time.
It doesn't matter what the other order is.
 
i don't mind in narrative order or released order
as long as i can understand the story and what's going on. i pretty much don't mind anything.
 

I think chronological is not that important, actually it males the whole series more interesting.

To be honest at this time i can't remember narrative order series in anime Haha.. but i do remember from some games like Suikoden and Metal Gear

The biggest debates around watch order I've seen in recent times is with the main Fate series and Monogatari. I watched Monogatari in release order and honestly the big debate is around the placement of kizumonogatari. Do you watch it at the beginning or really late in the series. Although I have seen some dumb orders which basically take out episodes out of one season and insert them into other seasons to make it look chronological, it was the stupidest thing ever and it was a bunch of sheep who wanted to follow Nision's order.

As for Fate the entire problem is that the Fate route apparently doesn't have a good adaptation. Granted, I have only watched Fate/Zero so I wouldn't know. If I had to pick one I'd choose release order for everything.
 
Ooooo this is a hard one. I've never been in this situation in an anime before but i always watch Star Wars in the narrative order, so i'd probably do the same for anime

So I'm not entirely understanding this but I prefer to watch from the first episode and then progress to others. Not sure if that answers your question
 
There's a third order that people forget. A custom order maximizing the story and enjoyment factor made by people. This can be useful in some really convoluted story animes that are super jumbled up as far as timeline goes.

do you have it for any of the mainstream anime, i know, burns?
