Do you mind if people call you a weaboo/otaku?

Funny how weaboo was initially an insult created on the /b/ board on 4chan to insult their /a/ board, and it got embraced. Same thing with the term waifu.

I feel like this happens with almost all insults over time.

At this point I'd probably laugh it out if someone was genuinely trying to get to me because I watch anime, read manga, consume sushi or whatever.

Weeabo is such a funny sounding word.

Otaku in Mexico, was of the first words either by ignorance or by embracing the culture that a lot of people used to define themselves with pride.

Yeah,  sushi is well known now. Last year friends took me to a place where the whole menu was sushi. I think depending the group you hang out with you'd be made fun of for liking it or for not liking it.  I think mostly older folks are the ones not that kin for sushi. Haha.

with that i agree
did you like that sushi? isn't that a japanese dish? i think you might have liked it.

Yeah.  It was pretty interesting choices.  So we ordered different ones and shared them.
I like sushi in general. In Australia is pretty easy to buy some when you're on the way.

that's cool
i wish i could get a taste of that too but there aren't many restaurants here where i live and probably why our diner is so profitable.

It's more like food court locals in malls than full-fledged restaurants in Australia. So it is not fancy,  you just buy the rolls and bite into them.

cool that's awesome.
and i think i would prefer that more than anything now.
