misa is not his girlfriend. she made him date her and she never loved her.
his dad doubted him and he had to get rid of him.

Nah, his dad trusted him all along... Kira is a socipath.. showing himself as a normal citizen but is deeply cunning. It's true that he didn't love Misa though..

his dad thought he could be kira. only seeing his remaining life time with reaper eyes convinced him that kira is not light.

He suspected but the point here is, Light didn't drive his dad to death cause he thought his dad found out he is Kira... If that was the case , he woulda done it long time ago when L revealed that Light could be Kira...

Light fucking cared for Mellow's real name , when his dad was fighting for his life.. such is his affection to his dad.. he least gave a fuck about his dad's life.

he was afraid of himself.
he didn't want to die because mellow found him and with mellow and near, he can lose.
his dad's life came second to his own life.

I don't like light. So, I do agree with all that. He shouldn't have started killing all those police officers.
It's just too inhuman. How can anyone do that?

You are supposed to be answering the question the thread author asked.
I have mixed feelings about the characters who turned evil. I do understand that they have their own circumstances but that wouldn't justify their actions completely.

No he created a thread called "Good to Evil in anime" similar to the "Evil to Good in anime" and I had to merge it.
