Do you drop anime just because you don't like how the story is progressing?



Gi...Gintama?
My sister loves that show and re watches those episodes all the time. As for me, I just don't get it's charm.

Yeah I do remember you talking about it. Same thing happened to me with stuff like Guilty Crown and Himitsu(albeit on a much much smaller scale).

I know....but I expected you to dislike gintama by now.
I got tired of those lame jokes after a while.

They weren't lame to me especially since it's the kind of show in which whatever can happen so there's variety. Plus you can skip episodes if you don't like the concept present in a particular episode, since it's episodic.

I agree man, I saw a few episodes of gintama and I liked it.
Kagura couldn't sleep and how she kept pestering gintoki is the best episode for me.

Not a lot actually. I tend to skip episodes that involve potty humour, and not just Gintama, any anime. And when you start skipping episodes you notice how many times that happens.

I don't watch it man. It gives me the willies. But how do you know that it's there in an episode man?
Do you read reviews of the episode before or do you skip after encountering one?

Uh.... Well...I forward stuff like that but I got tired of the entire show after that.
I guess that's why I like kyou Kara ore wa... It doesn't have stupid humor like that

I check if it's just a one-off thing in the episode and if it's not and is the actual gag of the episode I skip it. I basically fast-forward to check.

Gintama is all types of comedy and it's not its fault if you are focusing on the wrong elements.

Well, I don't see many right elements to focus. For me, those jokes are entirely lame.
I don't mind the animation, duration, and such... If the humor is very good
