Do you consider the scope of an anime when scoring?

Sometimes anime story-line might or might not have the scope or potential to take it to higher levels.
Do you consider that before you rate an anime?

sometimes yes
but now, i can't think of any such anime and i am sure all the slice of life anime and anime involving idols are like that.

Yes. If the story is limiting how far it can go but does the best job it can within it I don't mind at all.

Well true lol since he's one of those techno-freak i thought that he only appreciate animation

I do that a lot.
If the anime doesn't have any potential to take it farther, then it shouldn't be taken into consideration
