Devilman: Crybaby 6-10 Episodes Discussion

WARNING!! SPOILERS AHEAD

I guess a sort of narrative starts from episode 6, beginning with the reveal of the existence of Demons by Ryo. That stadium sequence was a complete gore-fest.
And, while I liked episodes 7-9, some of the deaths fell flat for me because I didn't really connect enough with the characters. Examples being Miki's parents and brother. I just didn't give a shit.
However, Miki's death was done incredibly well. That's also when shit truly hits the fan in the series.
I didn't like the last episode, though. The reveal that Ryo is Satan sort of fell flat for me. I felt like it should have taken an extra episode or two to properly build things up. And, the ending was just, ehh. I don't know. For a series that was mostly good, the climax was a disappointment.
There's also some noticeable drop in animation but that's to be expected, however, there's a lot of great fight scenes in the last 2-3 episodes.

I didn't like the story between 5-8 till the last couple of episodes when it stopped being an incoherent mess and made sense finally. I loved the final battle and the build up and music all through out. The ending was kind of spoiled but still good enough. If I hadn't watched the final couple of episodes I'd have said this show was bad but now MAL's high score for this makes more sense.

i will be watching it soon till the ending. i thought of dropping it but people here says the ending is good. so i will continue watching it

What did you think of those baton clips in the final episode? It kept repeating for some time.
And, to me, his reveal felt rushed so it felt more like the anime was trying to catch me off guard, but failed to do so, for some reason. Episode 7 is also probably my least favourite in the series.

Yeah it was bad, the story board part of the anime isn't very good but the action makes up for it.

I don't think anyone is going to care but I rewatched this and knowing the plot twist at episode 10 that Ryo was satan made the ENTIRE plot of the anime make so much more sense and explained his actions from episode 6 onwards which was my main gripe with the show in my first viewing. Enjoyed it more watching the second time. The music is still the best in any anime and the plot goes by REALLY fast which is why many people can get left behind. The final fight and the fight vs Selene were awesome even though they lasted like 5 mins.
