Well, I know that it's fairly common in many anime.... But I have been thinking... What is the greatest betrayal according to you? 
As for me, I believe Sasuke leaving naruto will be at the top.  Or may be danzo using itachi might be at the top. I can't decide. .
What about you guys?
 
Naruto and Sasuke is nowhere close to Griffith and Guts from berserk.. the best and heartless betrayal of all time. Gotta feel for Guts though.. his woman got raped in front of him by his own fucking friend and he couldnt do shit.. never seen a gutful being in anime like Guts. A human with the will of an another level.

The only time I recommended something I didn't watch was when I told you about Baby Steps. I'm pretty sure I didn't recommend Berserk to you. Though it's something I plan to watch before the end of the year.
 

Atashi Itachi Sama dayo. Jeez kiddo. Hmm well I will think about it but I am pretty sure I wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

The betrayals in the Code Geass anime, they are all over the place and they are really great in the way they were done.

i don't remember any betrayal in code geass. even suzaku who hates lelouch cares for him deeply and the king is a sh#t bag and everyone knows about it. it's not a betrayal

Light betrayed l?
L suspected that light is the culprit from the very beginning.
If anything, he sacrificed himself to prove just that. Too bad that he didn't know about rem.
