Dark and gloomy anime

Do you like dark and gloomy anime?
I don't really like them. What about you guys?

I'm okay with that, i admit i have taste for something dark

I like them but a lot of things have to be good. Sometimes these anime do a bad job with respect to the pacing and that just takes me out of the experience, I immediately drop it. Including rain can be nice. But the characters can sometimes be lifeless and that can be pissing off. Higurashi for example is pretty dark but as an anime it's extremely entertaining. Berserk is dark but it has amazing art and characters. Darker than Black has some of the best action out there.

Yup they try to stick up with something realistic as much as they can. If i remember correctly the contractor power is not too flashy either

Depends on the storyline/characters. But I know for sure I do not like wolfs rain.

I refer to those anime as gloomy anime xD
