Danganronpa

I watched the anime many years ago when it aired and it was plain terrible but I just started playing the second game and just watching some gameplay to refresh my memory of the first game and I have to say this is one of the best detective/mystery games I've ever seen. The investigations/trials are very very good and can be very hype. Some people might be turned off by the sillyness of everything, the bear, the students and the minigames in the trials but when you get past it, actually being able to play the part of detective is 100x more fun than just watching everything unfold.
The "gameplay" is very rudimentary being a little more than a visual novel but the story and brilliant detective work makes up for it.

I really enjoyed the anime and keep meaning to look into getting the games. One of these days I'll pick them up and play the series.

The anime was super duper rushed I don't think it's possible to fit what is like 40 hours of game play into 13 episodes.

Season 1 was a bit of a guilty pleasure for me with the over-the-top deaths in every episode, damn entertaining. Season 3 or whatever the fuck they were doing with the 2 simultaneous anime was boring.

Was any of the other seasons taking place on a tropical island?

I remember one of the two Danganronpa 3 anime having people locked up in a room and making them fight for survival.

i liked the anime and i never thought people wouldn't like it.
it's simply the best and i don't know of the game for it

I don't really mind if adaptations deviate from the source material as long as they are good. No need to have a meltdown when they take creative decisions. Danganronpa sucked though.

I know. There's anime I wish would have diverted from the source material.

yeah I could tell it was rushed, but I'm not sure if 24 episodes would have done it good or bad.
