Chernaudi's Random Stuff

Hi everyone.

I haven't really done a ton today, but at least the weather is warming up.

I have followed the FIA WEC Prologue test this weekend, and here's some videos from it:

Hi everyone.

I should be getting my payment tomorrow and I also have work. At least the weather will be good over the next few days until it cools off Saturday.

As for my outing today, I ate at the Old Bag of Nails Pub, and they have great food and service. I'd recommend it if you're in the Mansfield area. I also got to see what a barn owl looks like when it's angry. It's barn owl mating season and he also doesn't like the noise that's going on due to the renovation of the buildings at the bird sanctuary. So those things tend to make him upset and a lot more aggressive than normal.

Hi everyone.

I had a pretty decent day at work yesterday, but once I got in bed, I pretty much stayed there last night. That was actually kinda a good thing, because I haven't felt this good in a while. Nothing really hurts and I feel motivated to do some stuff.

Thus, I do have a busy day planned. I wanna look up some stuff, wash dishes, and later tonight make some home made fast food with some chicken cutlets I found at Walmart to make sandwiches with. And if not for the threat of rain, I'd try and go for a walk later today around my family's property.

I'll be back later :)

Hi everyone.

Yesterday was a decent but dreary day, and today's been going pretty well so far.

First, a cat update. Mama Kitty still likes getting petted in her carrier, though we've had little luck so far in getting her to come out. She did "talk" to me today, though. As for Marcy, she went though a period recently where she didn't really want to have human contact. Today however, she's purred constantly and when you let her out of her pet carrier, she'll let you pet her and play with her. She still doesn't really like being held, though. Both are probably getting pretty close to where we can let them have the run of the house, and they behave well around people and the other cats now.

As for me, I don't have a ton of plans for today, just looking up some stuff and maybe squeezing in some game play.

Also next Sunday, the FIA WEC will have the whole 6 Hours of Silverstone live next Sunday Morning on Fox Sports 1. So if you have FS1 and are up next Sunday morning, I'd check it out just to see if it interests you.

Also, some photos from a show that Liana did last night:

Hi everyone.

I've been busy for the past couple of days, and I slept in this morning until I had to get ready for my outing today. I did manage to pay down a library bill and check out some books. That of course means that I got a couple of books on owls, including one entirely about barn owls.

For the rest of today, I plan on some gaming stuff, for sure looking some stuff up, and making the fried chicken dinner that I didn't get to make last night due to going to sleep early.

Hi everyone.

Today wasn't a great one for sure. I woke up at 4:00 this morning throwing up, then I called off work because of being ill, and now my front yard's a tropical swamp and the creek by my house is flooded to it's banks. Not to mention that the storms this morning that caused said water issues kept me up at times while I was trying to get some rest because of being sick.

At least I'm up and about now and the sun's coming out a bit, not that it'll dry things out too much with off and on rain forecast though at least Friday.

Speaking of which, this could come in handy this summer along with local weather reports:

I'll be trying to get back on track the rest of today, and I'll be trying to finally make that chicken dinner that I've yet to get around to making.

I hope everything dries up in a day or two.
Don't overexert yourself by doing stuff, to make the water flow, in some other direction, chernaudi :D

Hi everyone.

I've had enough of the rain and storms for a while. At least this weekend from Friday morning onwards will be dry decent out.

I do get paid tomorrow and I do have some plans for that money, obviously. In the shorter term, I do have some stuff I wanna finish looking up and some F1 practice to watch tonight. Friday into Saturday morning does look like things might be busy for me on the TV watching front with the NASCAR race possibly Saturday night, the F1 race Saturday night, and the WEC race Sunday morning. Not to mention some stuff on the History Channel I want to watch on those nights. But by Sunday night, things will have calmed down for a while.

I'll be back later :)

Hi everyone.

It's been kinda a long week between being sick, doing a lot of running, and having to deal with aches and pains, but I'll be glad when it's Sunday afternoon and the weekend's racing is done and I can truly relax a little. I sort of hate this weekends when there's so much racing going on, it means a lot to keep up with, and tonight, a lot to stay up for.

At least Audi have done very well at Silverstone all weekend so far. Hopefully the race will pan out the same. I don't know if I'll watch it, at least all of it, tomorrow, due to what I'll be doing tonight. But if you have Fox Sports 1, you can watch it.

But tonight I'll be trying to catch the NASCAR and F1 races, and maybe sneak in a nap before my parents get here and I'll probably watch the last of the WEC race, too.

I'll be back later :)

Hi everyone.

I'm pretty happy today because the weekend's racing is over, with Audi winning today at Silverstone. I'll post links to videos, stories, and photos as I find them. I even caught the last 2:30 on TV this morning on Fox Sports 1, which will also carry other rounds of the WEC live.

For tonight, though, I'll probably be looking up some stuff, doing some gaming, and getting ready for work tomorrow.

I'll be back later :)

Hi everyone.

I do finally have a Silverstone WEC weekend wrap up list of links, but first, about my day.

It was alright.  I got plenty of work done, got a Little Cesar's pizza, and I have a day off tomorrow, and for now at least, the weather is good.

I don't have too much more to comment on at the moment, aside from starting to make plans for the weekend after this coming one.  I'll be trying to do some stuff involving a bird show that the Ohio Bird Sanctuary is putting on.  I just need to find out where they'll be having their barn owls going primarily.

Okay, Silverstone WEC round up:

Hi everyone.

The biggest event of the past couple of days is that Marcy kitty is now allowed to run freely around the house for periods of time. However, she's already escaped at least once for sure, maybe twice, though she came back in both times. There's a place in our attic that the older cats use to find their way out. But when one considers that Marcy spent about the first 6 or so months of her life outside, and the weather has been decent, it's little wonder why she wants to venture outside.

But it seems that she knows that this is where she can get easy access to food and water, and there's people here who like her and the other cats don't really bother her. But we've had no luck getting Mama Kitty out of her carrier--only once has she left her carrier, and she had to be baited with food. But then again, Mama Kitty spent about 3 years outside living near a bank, so I think that she appreciates being here.

Other than that, I haven't done too much actually. I have some salad stuff that I'd like to try out a little later on. But other than that, it'll just be the usual stuff.

I'll be back later :)

Hi everyone.

Today was kinda a long day at work. It wasn't a bad day, just a lot to do.

This will mostly be a cat update. First of all, Marcy left the house Sunday night; she escaped from where the older cats get outside. However, she returned Tuesday morning and she's stayed in the house ever since, and she'll let people pet her and she'll at least tolerate being held, though you have to catch her by surprise. She also likes playing with people, too.

Also, Mama kitty got out of her carrier last night on her own, and she let my brother hold her for a couple of minutes. They were feral cats, but they've both adjusted to being indoors where it's safe and they have access to food. If they stay around, they can be decent mousers come winter, due to their hunting for food in the past. And Marcy was probably just curious, went out side and decided that she would rather stay inside.

Also, there's this from Audi testing at Monza this week to get ready for Le Mans:

Hi everyone.

I don't have a ton of stuff on tap for today. I'll mostly be looking up some stuff, doing a few dishes, and making myself a chicken dinner tonight.

I do have some big plans for the weekend, though. Mostly, I'll be getting paid tomorrow, which means grocery shopping, and on Saturday, I have a big outing at the Bird Sanctuary, where I'll try and watch a barn owl perform falconry stuff.

But outside of that, I don't have too much going on. I do wish it was warmer and sunnier though. This feels more like February than April.

I'll be back later :)

Hi everyone :)

I had a decent day at work today, got some good stuff grocery-wise, and I'm planning for my bird sanctuary visit tomorrow. Hopefully while I'm there, I'll learn more about where one of my favorite owl's new homes at the sanctuary will be. Even if he won't be a major part of the show, I hope to at least visit him.

Other than that, I just have the usual stuff planned, though I have an unusual sleep cycle for the next day or two because of the early start that I'll have tomorrow.

And here's a new video of Audi testing at Monza:

Hi everyone.

I had a pretty good day today. I saw my owls at the bird sanctuary, including getting within a couple of inches of Monty the Barn Owl. Only negative point is that it was raining, but that didn't really happen until after I got done with about everything, and while it was raining hard, I got to sit under the visitor center overhang with Monty and a Kestrel.

I also had a great chicken tenders meal at Old Bag of Nails and after that, I went home. So it was a pretty good day.

Other than that, the usual is in the cards for me now.
