that's a little true
but to go the levels of seinen or some dark genre like 'another' anime, it takes even more time lol

They used to have cartoons like that, but they didn’t catch onto a mainstream audience, so they’re all stuck at cult status.

They came on at weird times for ones that had a story and weren’t sitcoms.

I do know anime fans love pretending that the animated adult sitcoms don’t exist, and most anime they watch is targeted at children.

People also forget that most of the moe anime is also seinen, like K-on.

you are right lol
and to be honest, i really don't get why it comes under seinen and there is no concept adult-ish there

The manga demographics are solely dictated by what magazine it’s originally published in, it’s that arbitrary. That’s why you have situations where two very similar shows are different demographics, because they were in different magazines, and the opposite of two dissimilar shows, but are in the same magazine.

sorry for my lameness
and yeah i forgot about it but the show itself isn't seinen-ish and more like slice of life for me.

Seinen’s not a genre, it’s a demographic. It just means young adult male.

sorry i meant it's not for 17-20's people
and it's got a normal story and normal school life which is more appropriate for 13-15ish

It’s like back in the day, the MPAA ratings didn’t have a PG13 rating, it just jumped from PG to R.

Not at all sure
But it's vastly improving and I am sure it will reach this trend very soon.

hopefully rinko and they are going to get good cartoons too
i am sure star wars using japanese staff can be a good thing for this.

As far as films go Western animation is a million times ahead except for Miyazaki. Into the Spiderverse is a masterpiece.
