Can the plot of an anime really upset or please you with the development?

but sometimes when i follow an anime for a long time, it can certainly have that effect on me. what about you?

I would say that it does, but for me, it is normally being motivated by the anime to achieve stuff. There is a good group of us locally that watch anime to get pumped up for the gym. I don't really know if that truly works with the point of this topic, but the plot does play a role in it.

Actually, I'm watching the original Mobile Suit Gundam while contemplating some major changes in my life. Don't judge my odd methods lol.

Sometimes yes.
When the protagonist is very dumb or being a jerk to no end, I usually drop the anime for good.
