Can broken expectations ruin an anime for you?

even if that anime is good enough, would the broken expectations ruin the fun for you, in that anime?
would you drop it? or would you give it a bad rating?
 
You shouldn't have too many expectations man
It can crumble just like that and it's better to treat it as a form of entertainment :cheers: Had too many anime which got me disappointed
 
They could really ruin pretty everything when you feel like something is demeaning. I don't have many expectations to any story these days

Same. When you overhype something, reality can only be worse.

that's one punch man and the promised neverland sequel for you. and i am sure they good enough sequels but they don't much up to the hype caused by the prequel.

OPM you can make the argument for but TPN was one of the worst written things I've seen. It skipped parts of the manga and made no sense on top of that.
