Can anime hair ever be life like?

I tried to style my hair similar to Robin from Teen Titans. (I know it's not anime but it's got an anime like style to it.) I couldn't come close to how his hair is styled lol. I also wanted to try and style my hair similar to Yami Yugi but that's impossible. xD

Depends on the anime but I imagine you'd need a huge amounts of styling gel per day, hahaha.

Exactly this. It's difficult to animate actual hair with all the strands but severely styled gel hair can be imitated
