Can anime hair ever be life like?

I tried to style my hair similar to Robin from Teen Titans. (I know it's not anime but it's got an anime like style to it.) I couldn't come close to how his hair is styled lol. I also wanted to try and style my hair similar to Yami Yugi but that's impossible. xD

Exactly this. It's difficult to animate actual hair with all the strands but severely styled gel hair can be imitated

Oops I read the thread wrong too it seems haha. I know Yu-Gi-Oh is one of those anime you can always tell who the main protagonist is by their hair, I wonder if there's any anime out there that has a more realistic approach to hairstyles rather than the characters having extremely spiked up hair haha.
