I did a little looking and people are saying that his power can nullify other people's fruit powers if he touches someone. Though there is nothing concrete other than a small scene of Crocodile taking note of Luffy being hurt by BB when he punches him.

You are right. It does nullify powers. Luffy was also affected by it once, now that I recall, and I looked it up in the One Piece Wiki, and it also says that.
So yeah, The Yami Yami no Mi is extremely powerful, alright. And don't forget that he has Whitebeard's fruit as well.

I see. May be it's a prediction of sorts. It can be true or it might be just a rumor.
If it is true, then I wonder if Luffy can hear him anytime soon
 
I would actually rank Black Beard the most deadly character right now in one piece if not for the fact he's kind of a laughing idiot. He kind of reminds me of usopp, but with power.
 
Well, considering that he is deadly and cruel, I wouldn't say anything for that.
Usopp is an idiot unlike black beard.

usopp is skinny and blackbeard is fat.
usopp is a coward and blackbeard isn't a coward
usopp is the main protagonist and blackbeard is the antiprotagonist
usopp is not powerful and blackbeard is powerful
 
Luffy will be able to beat him
Let him grow and see the world and then you will be in for a surprise.
