It can get very dark man.
I don't like many things but kids dying even in anime, would be at the top of my list

I was supposed to try that for the longest while and never got to it yet lol

It's the second best anime after death note man and everyone agrees with that.
You will like it, if you like death note

code geass is dark too but it's good. i don't think there is any action anime which is not dark and have less number of episodes. they are hard to find
