A lot of the plane disappearance happened decades ago, perhaps they used to fly lower back then?
I'm still not very convinced but I guess a lot of the reputation could had been inflated hysteria.
For me the fascinating stories were those with time warp (like appearing decades after looking and acting like no time had passed) and when they would have or their reapparance in places impossible to travel in the time that elapsed.(Say appearing in 3 hours in a position that his plane/boat could only reach in 10)
We could all brush them all as lies but it is part of the triangle mytho so I think any explanation should at least try to address that.
