Seems like season 4 will be the last, though lots to cover yet so hard to say how this will play out.

they want the series too keep going forever but that wouldn't want the story to get dragged

I heard some people saying the manga would be ending soon as well. Does that mean they will adapt everything into the last season?

I haven't watched this anime after season 1

Hope they resolve everything and not give a crap ending. I only watched sill S2.

a decent ending is everyone hope for.
and you shouldn't have stopped watching it from season 3.
it gets better and better with each season too

hopefully, most of the recent manga chapters have been talking and info dump which can be done quickly in anime form.
