Are there injuries in anime you can't stand to watch?

nothing like that
but when the main protagonist in many anime, getting beaten up continuously is hard to watch

Imagine going through that. What is the manga name that made you watch such a thing?
 
I don't mind gore too much but some of the scenes in Higurashi are pretty brutal, particularly a scene involving fingernails.
 
It's all just fiction man. They wouldn't bother me in anyway.
If it's got too much gore, I would just think they are ridiculous in trying to scare people with that.
